Cambridge SWE (Society of Women Engineers)

Overview

CIT is an international affiliate with Society for Women Engineers(SWE) which provides a global platform for women engineers to get connected, collaborate and co-create ecosystem for   women engineers.

For more than six decades, SWE has given women engineers a unique place and voice within the engineering industry. SWE organization is centred around a passion for our members’ success and continues to evolve with the challenges and opportunities reflected in today’s exciting engineering and technology specialties.

The mission of SWE is to stimulate women to achieve full potential in careers as engineers and leaders, expand the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in improving the quality of life, and demonstrate the value of diversity

A SWE International Affiliate is a group of women engineers (members and non-members) that reside outside the United States and wish to function as a recognized SWE entity in order to expand the mission of the organization.

SWE Benefits

  • Allows a body of women engineers to operate as a group in the name of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE).
  • Promotes interaction and mentoring opportunities with other SWE members and the SWE community on the local, regional, national, and international levels.
  • Provides a support system to increase the understanding of engineering and to enhance professionalism among its members in alignment with the Society’s mission and objectives.
