The SBI Numero Yono Regional Quiz Competition (Bangalore) got underway as expected on 1st of March 2019 at the Good Shepherd Auditorium, Richmond Town, Bangalore. The competition witnessed an overwhelming response and was thriving with student communities representing various educational institutions from across the city.
Institutions like, Archarya Institute of Technology, Christ University, Jyothi Nivas, St. Josephs Degree College, ST. Josephs Autonomous College, R.V College of Engineering, Vemanna College of Engineering, S.E.A College of Engineering, BMS College for Women, BMS college of Engineering, BMS college of Technology, Atria Group of Institutions, Sapthagiri College of Engineering, Baldwin Methodist college, PES college of Engineering, Indo-Asian Academy were amongst the other participants who competed against our Cambrians.
A total number of 486 teams participated in an ‘Aptitude Test’ consisting of 20 questions, which lasted for 20 minutes. All the teams put in their best efforts and fought it out to book a spot in the semi-finals. Upon the completion of the first round, 8 teams were selected for the semi-finals, who were divided into 2 groups that consisted of 4 teams each. The semi-finalists were Christ University, R.V College of Engineering, BMS College of Technology, St. Josephs Degree College, St. Josephs Autonomous College, PES Institute of Technology.
A number of 54 Cambrians represented Cambridge and exhibited their skills; they gave a tough competition to the other colleges by proving their mettle, but were ousted by the slightest of margin. But, our Cambrians, without losing their sportsmanship spirit, took upon the ‘Digital Quiz’ and bagged 3 trophies thanks to Apoorv Anupam, Anuj Kumar Dubey and Tanka Raj Joshi from 3rd year CSE. Our Cambrians – Anuj Dubey, Supreet, and Manoj known for their smartness, outsmarted other participants by answering 3 back-to-back audience questions to grab 3 mementos.
We at Cambridge have always encouraged our students to showcase and demonstrate their skills to the fullest. The results and the prizes won are the sheer examples of their determination and ability to perform at all various levels.
