The department of Information Science and Engineering (ISE) at Cambridge Institute of Technology was established in the year 2007 with the endeavor of imparting value added education for students, in the traditional and contemporary areas of IT and groom the students to follow ethical practices in their chosen profession, thus showcasing their all-round personality. In a short span of 8 years the department has witnessed rapid growth in student strength, faculty by providing a conducive environment for Teaching & Learning.The vibrant faculty members of the department possess demonstrated expertise in
experiential learning.Present Sanctioned Student intake is 120. Department is Accredited by NBA for a period
of 3 years (2017-2020). Head of Department is having rich teaching experience of 30 years in Academics and 3+ years in Industry. He has 55+ research publications to his credit papers in reputed international Journals and Conferences.(Including Scopus Indexed Journals).

The department is one of the most sought options for CET and COMED-K rank holders.The students of ISE have performed exceptionally well in campus placements of reputed IT industries, such as TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, to name a few . The department is actively involved in hosting many additional training programs for students in areas such as AUTOMATION TESTING, ANDROID APPLICATIONS, BIG DATA, CLOUD
COMPUTING and so on. The department also has a MOU with DELL-EMC for creating Centre of Excellence.

The major focus of the department is Cohort based learning. Cohort based learning is where a group of people with shared characteristics who put all their best ideas which took shape in the group.
